Associate Partners – National Security & Resilience

National Security & Resilience Practice

The DS&S National Security and Resilience practice advises both Government departments and agencies and other bodies contributing to the UK’s National Security and Resilience and Commercial organisations (including global defence equipment and systems manufacturers) at Board level.

The firm helps its clients to respond to the challenges presented by the current global security environment by:

  • Working with them to develop their strategy, based on the appropriate balance of innovation, common sense and best business practice and in a language their organisations can understand
  • Supporting them as they implement their decisions
  • Helping them work through the policy implications of their decisions
  • Assisting them to understand the changes required for their organisations and how to develop the organisational capabilities
  • Helping Government and Industry work better together to use scarce and highly skilled resources as effectively as possible, whilst ensuring sustainability of supply
  • Providing experienced strategy support by people who understand both Government and Industry issues at senior levels
  • Working out the important communications issues and ensuring that the right levels of effort are deployed in engaging senior stakeholders

Given the current geopolitical climate, the demands placed on the defence industries and their customers in government has never been higher. Consequently, the strategic challenges they face are often immense. DS&S enjoys, in many cases, a unique relationship with its client base in terms of the level and scope of the work it undertakes and the reputation it upholds.

Our consulting team all relish the opportunity to work on a range of high-profile assignments from day one with high levels of responsibility and autonomy, top-decile levels of remuneration and benefits, and a clear development plan for progression within the firm.

Associate Partner

To meet the rapidly increasing demand for its services, the firm is now looking to strengthen its Strategy leadership team with the recruitment of Associate Partners. These individuals will play a pivotal role in the leadership and growth of the Strategy practice, including the management and delivery of key projects with existing clients, the acquisition of new business and the development of the consulting team.

Experience profile:

Minimum of 5-7 years of commercial experience, the majority of which will have been gained in a blue chip strategy consulting firm (or the strategic consulting arm of a larger management consultancy), with a well-substantiated track record of:

  • Client networking and business development;
  • Thought leadership development and marketing;
  • Client engagement management and delivery;
  • The technical aspects of strategy analysis and development;
  • The ability to recruit and guide the development of consultants.

Experience of consulting to the defence and/or government/public sector community would be a significant advantage. Specific experience of work with either the Home Office and/or the Police Service would be particularly highly-valued.
