Consultants – Through Life Decision Support

Through Life Decision Support Practice

The DS&S Through Life Decision Support (TLDS) Practice works with major industry and government clients to develop solutions to complex business problems. The work draws on sophisticated operational, risk and financial modelling and analysis to evaluate the range of available options and scenarios.

Typical project work consists of a small number of consultants embedded within a larger client team, broadly from 3-12 months in duration.

Projects span the major equipment lifecycle, with teams supporting projects in the concept and assessment phase, design and manufacture, and equipments currently in-service.

Requirements vary widely - for example within the concept phase, work may focus on the development at enterprise level of processes and tools to support future design trades and form the basis of through-life decision support systems.

For mature equipments, work covers many aspects from ongoing bid activities (for example improving information maturity and moving from reactive to pre-emptive information development to support reduced bid turn-round times) to supporting the development and implementation of new commercial arrangements, such as moving to availability based contracts.

Our work is also based across the environments, with projects already based in land, sea and air and further projects expected in central planning organisations.
